Academic Excellence

Science at the middle school is a hands-on curriculum with field trips taken at all grade levels to enhance the student’s experience. Sixth grade students participate in a Science Fair and the Invention Convention. Students are encouraged to use the scientific method to problem-solve and scientific investigations. Seventh grade students have the opportunity to dissect squid and regenerate planaria. Eighth graders visit Raven Hill Discovery Center and also raise Chinook salmon in the classroom and release in Lake Michigan.
